Day 15

The Auto-transformations lads have struck me again :-)!

I got them back this time to sort out the rear end panels and to create an original Ferrari exhaust mounting system, which they did!

Here you can see that they have moved the vertical box section that you would have been able to see through the rear grill....much better!!

Here is a closer look at the Original Ferrari exhaust mountings they have created, its the 2 pins sticking out on either side! They have also added extra strength with 2 extra box sections between the frame and the floor

So from behind....no vertical bars close to the grill!!

had to do some more work on my end caps as the kit is ALL about getting the doors right! It seems a large gap between the end cap and door skin, but I cant get it any better. I have shaved off fibre glass where the end cap wraps around the hockey stick, but it still has this gap. Also, the very top of the end cap is odd! I will need to cut this off level with the door skin lip.

This is drivers side...MUCH better fit!!

Spend nearly all day just messing with these...:-(

Day 14

tack welded the door catches into roughly the new position

installed the door locks into the door end caps, just need to countersink them when I get a drill bit!!

had to push the car out so I could jet wash under the wheel arches, so as it was a nice day, thought I would lay the panels on her..

fitted the battery into the new underwing battery tray

it was a tight fit, but after a little work with the angle grider...it fit!

looking from the front, just need to cover it with a black plastic sheet to protect from the elements and so that you cant see it through the front bumper air intakes!
